Ravenglass Station, Cumbria

This elegant station building from c.1873, photographed in 1964, is one of a series designed for the Furness Railway by the Lancashire architect’s practice of Paley & Austin. Edward Graham Paley (1823-1895), was the uncle of Frederick John Paley who married Maude Cecil Attfield in 1892.
